SECONDARY
GLAZING PRODUCTS
"What are Secondary Windows
and what do they do?"
Secondary Glazing is bespoke made units fitted
roomside of existing windows to effectively form "double
glazing." The original windows remain untouched.
Secondary Glazing will help insulate a designated area
from noise, reduce heat loss and minimise draughts. They will
also act as a barrier to increase security where multi-layered
laminate glass is incorporated. It can also be specified to
protect fabrics and materials from damaging ultra-violet light.
"Selectaglaze Secondary
Glazing Systems - What are they?"
We are fortunate to be a preferred Supplier and

Series 20 - Vertical Siding Unit
Its design is ideal for the treatment of traditional

balances to fully support their weight and thus allowing opening to
any position. The sashes are non-removable however, do
contra-slide to facilitate cleaning (75mm cavity is recommended).

Series 60 -
Tilt-in Vertical Sliding Unit
Like the Series 20 this unit is ideal for the
treatment of double-hung sash windows however, has the additional
benefit of tilt-in sashes to accomodate cleaning when being fitted
close to the primary window or the sashes are unequal and cannot
fully contra-slide. The sashes are attached to spring balances
which allow opening to any position and when released for the
tilt-back action a friction break mechanism engages which allows safe
limited opening for full cleaning.
